ASGA Tour Welcomes Premier Sports Management
Elizabeth City, NC (PRWEB) August 2, 2004 -- The ASGA Tour, Inc. announced today that it has partnered with Premier Sports Management (PSM), a full-service sports marketing company. Premier Sports Management will provide marketing services, sponsorship management and development of grass roots programs, as well as all aspects of production for the Tour's television shows on The Golf Channel for all 15 ASGA Tour events and United States Pro Golf League (USPGL) Section Championships this year and all 25 events scheduled for the 2005 season.
Premier Sports Management, based in Kansas City, will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of national marketing and sponsorship programs, identifying strategic alliances, leveraging the current television programming into brand awareness, development of Internet based direct marketing, and the creation of grassroots marketing programs with the goal of increasing Tour participation for future expansion.

In addition to marketing management, PSM will handle the producing, shooting and editing of a 30-minute highlight show which will air on The Golf Channel, beginning with this season's first ASGA Tour event in Covington, GA, at the end of August and culminating with the 2004 National Championship at Desert Pines in Las Vegas from February 10-13, 2005.

The ASGA Tour is the country's premier intermediary professional golf tour conducting tour caliber events for former PGA Tour professionals preparing for the Champions Tour, non-exempt professionals on the Champions Tour, and celebrity challengers and professionals 18 years old and up preparing for the big tour. About the US Pro Golf League
The United States Pro Golf League is a national golf organization that provides its members with the opportunity to play in a professional golf environment. Members play in a local league in three one-day (18-hole) events, and the first 144 members of each Section are automatically entered in the Section Championship. The top finishers in the each Section Championship qualify for the National Championship. USPGL members also compete for bonus pools and exempt ASGA Tour Card status for the 2005 season.
