Alpha Golf's Luirette Wins Long Drive Victory

CHATSWORTH, CA (PRWEB) June 18, 2004 -- The southpaw from Bakersfield, California is on fire. Danny Luirette continues to solidify his reputation as “The Longest Left-Handed Hitter in the World” with his first Long Drivers of America (LDA) victory this past weekend in Rockford, Ill., after blasting the ball a stunning 421 yards in the semi-finals and beating his closest rival with another off-the-range 409-yard killer in the finals of the Open Division.

In overall results, Alpha players Vince Howell and Carl Wolters won second- and fourth-place in the Open division, respectively; while, senior division players Eric Jones, Kurt Moore and Pat Dempsey won second-, third- and fourth-place with Alpha drivers. In the woman’s division, Alpha Golf’s Sally Dee claimed second-place.

But Luirette’s performance was the attention-getter, earning him a new moniker — ‘The Bushman’ — as his drives outdistanced the 400-yard Golf Shack range so often that spotters kept having to scour the bushes in the neighboring field just to find his balls.

Luirette, who has relied on the Alpha drivers to lift him to the top of the LDA money list this year, has become a power machine. To date, he’s won $36,000 with consistent fire, including a 454-yard drive in the finals that led to a second-place finish in Albuquerque earlier this year.

“I wasn’t even on the money list last year,” says Luirette, who credits Alpha Golf technology for his power winning streak. “The Alpha drivers have really performed well, and I’m hitting the ball a lot farther and with a lot more consistency.
