CHATSWORTH, CA (PRWEB) March 27, 2004--Adding to its stable of Long Drive champions, Alpha Golf announces the signing of 2002 ReMax World Long Drive Senior Division Champion Patrick Dempsey. Dempsey will play Alpha's Version 2 Titanium (425cc, 6ø loft) driver and is among several past and present World Long Drive champions to embrace Alpha Golf technology.

"Equipment technology is essential to hitting long drives," says Dempsey, who won his 2002 senior championship with a drive of 342 yards, eight inches. "It used to be that most of the equipment was basically equal - a steel shaft, a persimmon head, then a steel head. The better hitter could take most any piece of equipment and win with it. However, today, there's too much talent on the tour, and the guys are too good. We have to use the perfect equipment to be competitive because we're milking our drivers for every inch of distance the head has in it. I'm only going to tee box with technology I trust, and the Alpha drivers are outstanding."

The Version 2 Titanium driver features two-piece head construction with a forged 15-3-3-3 Beta Titanium face that possesses a unique high-polished, black finish. Unlike any titanium driver on the market, the stunning look of this `blacked out' face actually produces erasable `impact' marks which illustrate to golfers their point of impact on the face. Version 2 Titanium drivers are available in 400cc (lofts 6.0, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5 10.5, 12.0) and 425cc (lofts 6.0, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 12.0). Available flexes are X, S, R and A.
